Thank you all for your thoughts and condolences on Nicodemus Ratticus. Some of us miss him (the other vermin) but Mom really misses him and we are trying to show our understanding of her feelings. Poodies are really good at that. We are giving her lots of snuggles. ~Merlin oh yeah and the other two

Poodies can sense these things. Our Mom still misses her beloved guinea pig Boris after 16 mos. and still cries over him. He died in her arms which was a comfort to them both. Oh there she goes crying again. -Scooby & Shaggy

I find that when the Woman is sad, like when her friend died a few days ago, it makes her laugh if get on her lap, pretend I'm going to rub my face on hers, and then stick my nose up one of her nostrils. I hope your Mom's sadness gets a little lighter every day. Until then, stick your nose up hers or lick her in her ear. She'll be grossed out, but she'll smile.
