Countdown......to moving......

We are in the countdown effuryone. We are MOVING.
Having just come from the VET to get our exams for wings,
we are too sure about all this. I behaved and so did all the
ratties, but the cats were all stinky and Merlin had to be
muzzled, like always. He is rather large and the VET had
to put a towel over him and her helper had to lay across him
to get him to be still for the blood test. Then back in his kennel
he continued muttering to himself and hissing occasionally
for the next 15 minutes.
Izzie had to stay with the VET
'cause of a respiratory infection. But she is going to go home with
the VET lady and meet her nakey rats so she won't miss her
sisters to terribly. She will have a new special fambily.
The VET lady also took Pumkin. He couldn't
fly. All of the rest of us got the thumbs up for wings.
I am molting and have huge naked patches all over,
plus I'm very irritable and bitey so I have been
spending a large amount of time in my hutch
unless Mom is combing me. She bought a new brush
that takes off the undercoat and it really helps me with
loose hair. She hads a huge pile after every grooming
session. The scratchy teeth feel good on my itchy skin.
So the picture is from BEFORE my molting.
We will post as we can.
My minion leader Riff has passed away and will be
missed sorely by all his minions.
My luvs to my girl BONITA CHINCHILLA!!

Eeeek, moving is so scary! At least the eastern side of the state isn't completely melting like we are. That's a plus.

I think your VET is a very good person to give Izzie and Pumkin a new home, but it must have been sad to leave them behind.
Moving is exciting but scary. We will be glad when we hear efurrything has turned out o.k. and you will be settling in your New Mexican home.

Our Mom gives Merlin a BIG hug, because he have had such a terrible time with the VET.
And we hope your skin will be allright soon, dear Rabbie.

Lots of Love from all of us! Mom and the Ratties from The Rat's Inn

Have fun flying! I flew inside an airplane two times. They made me go to the VET to take a test beforehand, too.

Poor Merlin. If he hates the cat carrier and the vet he might need a sedative before going on the airplane.

Rabbie, I can only think that my human would be crushed if she had to leave any of the family behind.

Safe journey.

I'm glad you got your wings, but sorry that you have to leave Izzie and Pumkin behind. I'm glad that they have a great new home. I hope you finish with your molting soon, Rabbie. I'm sure it will be a relief to have it all done. I'm sorry to hear about Riff.

Poor Merlin being muzzled would have made me angry...at least you would have felt better to put the bitey on the vet or the vet assistant or anyone you could put the bitey on.

Once the move is done...it will be all better but the process really is icky and scarey.

Oh Rabbie, I'm so sorry that some of your family has to stay behind in Hawaii. Your family must be sad. But the Vet lady will take good care of them. The same thing happened to Mommy and Daddy with one of their bunnies. He ended up being the pet of the Vet's little daughter which was okay because she loved bunnies ALOT. It gave Mommy comfort knowing that there was a doctor in the family to take care of little Timmy Rabbit. Hang in there with the molting. I HATE the summer because its so hot and I'm so fluffy, only right now I'm molting and it makes me VERY cranky too. Mommy gave me a marble slab to sleep on to help cool me down but I prefer to stay in my cube. I only come out when absolutely necessary . . . to eat and to . . . well, you know. Don't worry about the wings part. Mommy says that the big metal birdie does all the work for you. She's getting ready to fly to NJ at the end of the month to see cousin Timothy Dickens and Grandma who's been at the Vet since March.

I am sorry you are going to haf to leave sum family behind, but it looks like they will be just fine and happy with the VET!

Our Mom wants something to get our furs out. She looked at a Furminator but they cost zillions of pieces of money.
