The Friday Book #4.....

Hello. Today is a special book day because we not only
get to introduce a book, but also ourselves. We are
2 rescue rats Mom rescued from a pet store that
was giving us away free 'cause we were to grown
up to sell. Mom rescued us before she knew Morgan and
Georgie were having babies, but we like to think
she would have saved us anyways.

Our names are Quark and Rom and yes we are brothers.
"I am pretty mellow." brags Quark.
"Mom calls me her ADD rat becuase
I ping all over and have a habit of
falling off the couch when I'm scard." admits Rom.
But she loves us. We have not been introduced before
because we were not used to people much and not used to
flashy boxes at all, but now we are ready.

Today we want to spolight the book:
A Rat's Tale by Tor Seidler

Kinsey and Mom started reading this book together,
but Kinsey finished it up on her own because
she didn't want to wait for Mom. It was very good.
Montague and Isabel are in it, but Mom says it
is not our Monty and Izzy ratlets. They are from
different sides of the wharf and from different
social backgrounds, but Monty's great artistic
talent is at first unappreciated. Then he saves
the wharf where the rich rat's live with his art work.
Amazing that one little rat could do that, but he does.

I really suggest this book if you like to read
about rats ~Rom Ferengierat

*muffled* Me TOO ~Quark Ferengierat

Well aren't you two just the cutest little fellows! That is the same way mom gets her guines pigs. They are free to a good home and mom says her home is a guinea pigs delight. The pet store people know her now. But she did pass us 2 young ones last week. She said they are young and will find homes in no time. And they did.
We love your book reviews and this one looks like it is right up your alley!

My Mom loves books and really likes this segment of your blog. And it's really nice to meet you two new ratties! Have any of you considered Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH? Or is that too obvious? My Mom just reread that a few weeks ago for the first time since she was little and she still loves it! Mom says little people-lets will start to come live with us in a year or so, so she's building up her favorite young people book collection!

It's good to meet you, Quark and Rom! My Mommy just loves Star Trek and the Ferengie's were Mommy's favorite characters on Deep Space Nine. Thanks for the book review too!
