The Moving Conversation:
Ford: Mom, what is this we hear about moving?
Mom: Well, it's that time.
Ford: What do you mean, Mom?
Mom: Everything changes little one and the
time has come for a change.
Ford: Why?
Mom: Because that's how things are.
Ford: Oh. What does this moving entail?
Mom: It entails Daddy waiting to hear back
from the headhunters for a job, then we
will know where we are going.
Ford: Then what?
Mom: Then we pack everything up and move
to our new place to live and look for a home.
Ford: Where?
Mom: I don't know yet, but it will be across an ocean.
Ford: *gasp* What? We have to swim?
Mom: No, no, we have to fly.
Ford: But I don't have wings.
Mom: Don't worry Ford, Mom will get you wings
and take care of you.
Ford: Okay Mom
Mom: Okay Ford.
Ford: Uh, Mom?
Mom: Yes Ford?
Ford: I luv you Mom
Mom: I love you to Ford.

i'm glad you can have good conversations with your mom. i can tell she takes good care of you!
if you can, try to relax about the move. enjoy the extra activity, and the knowing the lots of things will be different--except for how much your mom loves you!

Wow, that sounds scary. We used to get packed up and put in the metal monster and go south every winter and we hated the ride!

Wow, a move across the sea! Sounds like a long ways away. And a sea sounds like a big bunch of water, too -- the most water I've seen is the creek out back, when I was a stray kitty before Momma and Daddy adopted me.

Oh my gosh, you are going to fly!!! I've gone for long trips in a car, but never a plane, that is a little scary! But your Mom and Dad will take good care of you.

Don't worry, Ford, things will work out and your Mom will take good care of you. It will be strange to think of the Poiland cats, rats and bun not in Poiland any more. I hope you don't have too much trouble finding a place to live once you find out where you are going.

Your Mom is the best! Please thank her and your Dad for helping us foster buns out with a donation. We were very fortunate to find a good foster home and our foster Mom says your donation is a huge help because we eat lots of food and need special spay surgery whatever that is (we hope is like your human vacations where you drink pineapple drinks). You have a wonderful family so be good and don't chew through the moving boxes!
