Goodbye Little Georgie Sr.....

Today Georgie's legs were paralyzed and he could not eat.
I managed to give him some water, but I didn't want him
to suffer. I know he was in pain because of the constant
prophyrin in his eyes. It had caked all around the eyes and
matted up his fur. The vet didn't know the cause of his problem
either and said she had never seen that before.
I held little Georgie and petted him while he went to sleep. He
passed peacefully on to the bridge this evening.
I love you little Georgie and your
boys and I miss you so much already.
Go swiftly to the bridge little one and meet your buddy Fig,
whom I'm sure is waiting for you.
~Mom Jane

I started crying when I read this. I know it is terrible to lose a loved one, but the fact he had such a great life is beautiful and something I know he will never forget. Do not fret, I believe all our babies will see us again.

Oh gang, what sad news.
Sounds like Eddie, our guinea pig who I recently sent to the bridge. His rear left leg suddenly was paralized and his quality of life diminished. We don't know why, except that maybe he had a stroke.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you & yours. We know how you feel.

I'm so sorry to read that Georgie went to the Bridge. He had so much life and personality in him that it's really hard to think of him not being around any more. My eyes are leaking a bit. I'm sure he's met up with all the other rats at the Bridge and is having a grand time. My special condolences to Monty, Mozart and Georgie Jr who will really miss their Dad.
