Chancey Mousepetpet was found dead in suspicious
circumstances on Saturday evening. Chancey is the
mouse known for pulling off the "Fool the Pet Store
Worker" highjinks where he and his wife of two min-
utes convinced a petstore worker they were both
males so they could stay together when sold.
Chancey is survived by his wife Penelope P. Pickwick
and their six children, his brother Henry Jamespetpet
and two cousins Oliver Twist-stone and Winston
Penelope is being consoled where she
had her laying-in at her sister Victoria Monk's
The Chief of the Special Victims of Interspecies
Violence Unit has assured the public the best detectives
are on the case and the death will be investigated and
Chancey is sorely missed by his family and
by Mom and Kinsey, who all want the cased solved
and the perpentrator brought to justice.

Autopsy report: One male mouse of healthy proportions and well-fed. No scrapes, bite marks, or any open sores. Appears slightly flattened with pitichial hemoraging in the eyes. Rigor mortis was advanced.

Lab report: No drugs or alcohol found in the blood stream.

Detectives Arthur and Ford have studied paw prints lifted at the scene that belong to two different suspects and DNA has been found also. Det. Ford believes they are looking for more than one perpetrator and that possibly Chancey Mousepetpet may have happened onto the scene of a catnip deal gone bad. But Det. Arthur cautions against jumping to conclusions and suggests the death may have been an accident. Both detectives are working as hard as possible and have given this case top priority.

Law & Order: Animal Victims Unit

In the animal justice system, crimes against rodents are considered especially heinous. In Hawaii, the dedicated detectives who investigate these viscious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Victims of Interspecies Violence Unit.
