Flowers glorious flowers

Mom got me flowers to make up for being gone so much lately. I love my Mommy. While she was gone today, to show my appreciation, I decorated the living room floor with rose petals. It took me all day. Then before Mom could come home and see it, Dad swept it up!! Do you believe that? Some humans do not understand kitty art and how hard we work at it. When Dad told Mom about "the mess", she understood and said I had been creating art. *sigh* ~Merlin

Food glorious food

Oriental rice, shrimp, and chicken bones make the meal for this evening, delicious. Rotendtia

The other day I decided to play hide and seek with Mom. She put me on the dresser while she took the bed blankies down to dryout. So I decided that when she came back, she could try to find me. It worked. Mom came up and was calling Nicci, Nicci and looking under everything and around everything. Then she started looking on the floor! I'm not sure why, I don't hide on the floor. But it took her quite a while to find me because I stayed really still behind the dragons. I must have blended in really well. Now you can call me Nicci Dragon. ~Nicodemus Posted by Hello

Here I am enjoying the view out the window from the girl vermins cage. They sleep most of the day and don't seem to mind when I sit on top of their cage. Mom has spent most of today resting after eating a bug of some kind. If she would have asked me first I could have told her to just play with it and not eat it. So I tucked her in and went to do poodie things. She must have eaten the bug a couple of days ago because she has been complaining for awhile and today is the first day she could rest from it she said. Resting is something beans don't do enough of. Poodies rest a lot and look at how happy we are. ~Merlin Posted by Hello

Here I am sitting in Mom's shirt all snuggled up while we watch TV. Tonight I think we are stuck with the last of the Thai fried rice. Oh well, I think there are grapes for desert and maybe a chocolate chip or two. ~Nicodemus Posted by Hello

Here she is again. Posted by Hello

This is how small the littlest girl vermin is. I told you she was littler than two paws. ~Merlin Posted by Hello

Tasty, tasty

Boy, I thought the black cat would never get off the computer, talk about windy. Tonight we are celebrating with pasta in a marinara sauce and kiwi and strawberries for dessert. I'm glad the menu changed since the last two nights have consisted of fried rice brought home for us from a Thai restaurant. Don't get me wrong; I love rice, but a little goes a long way when you are a discerning rat who enjoys variety.

~Nicci

Plants

I'm not sure why, but Kinsey kitten kicked me out of her room when I tried to trim her plant. I was just helping her keep her room neat. With everyone gone so much, someone around here has to take up the slack, and it sure isn't going to be the vermin who have limited access. That leaves the poodies and Shadow isn't much for grooming anything but herself. I know because I have asked her to lend a lick with my rather large coat but she refuses. I did help Mom wash the dishes yesterday. She thanked me for all my help and said my conversation keeps her company.

I still have not gotten a good look at the new girl vermin. The baby is very small, like I said only about a paw and a half, but the other one is bigger. They don't come out much yet. They smell different too.

Weekend

It has been a very good weekend since all of my beans have been home. I always get lots of attention when they are here. However, Dad let Mom go to the pet store, which he knows better, and she come home with two more vermin, girls no less. They have their own cage and everything. Just what this poodie did not need was more vermin to have to keep an eye on. So far though, these two are pretty quite. The small one is very little not even the size of two paws. Mom said she was taken from her Mommy vermin to soon and she hopes she is okay. The boy vermin don't know the girls are over there yet.

One happy poodie

today I am a happy poodie. my Mom is home, so I'm helping her as much as I can by sitting on her book and pointing out what is important, I put her face cleaners in the sink so she could wash up quickly, I'm helping with laundry, and I shared a bowl of cereal with her this morning. I want my Mom to see how good it is to stay home with the Merlin instead of going to this work place. Shadow says I'm being silly because even when Mom goes out, she always comes back for part of the day. then she went to take a sleep. ~ Merlin

Poodies

You know, poodies and beans have been living together for thousands of years. This is very important I think. Poodies have influenced some of the major decisions in the world I bet. The good decisions. I've heard my Mom say Napurleoon and Hisstler didn't like cats and look what they did. The Egyptians worshipped cats and look at the beautiful things they created and so symetrical. In the Western beans darkest times they didn't like poodies and thought they were bad and killed us, then the plague came on the rats because there were no poodies to kill the boat vermin. Now poodies are loved again by the best beans anyways.

I've had some time to think with my Mom gone lately. I have also been in her hissstory books and believe it or not there is a famous poem called Yowl. Isn't that funny? I bet it was written by a poodie. There were also poodies in Greece and Rome you know. Copernipuss figured out important things about the twinkle lights in the dark sky.

Since I am out and about, I thought I would pop in and run around on the letters. I just finished eating a small portion of PB & J and now I'm running around in the window. My favorite thing is to sit and feel the breeze blow on me and look out. I can't really see anything since rats are pretty blind, but the breeze smells good and feels good on my fur. I am pretty mellow when I'm out free ranging unlike some of the others I could name. Mom says I have a big teddy bear nose. I don't think I have a big nose. I love my Daddy. I like to sit on his shoulder and have him tickled my tummy. Mom gets disgusted because I will lay on my back in Daddy's hands and not in hers. She says I'm spoiled. Posted by Hello

Me

Mom warmed up the chair at the computer desk for me so I have a comfortable place to sit.

I cannot believe she would rather go to work than stay home with me. I am an under appreciated poodie who has very hurt feelings.

Ahhh dinner

Tonight it was pumkin bread, cheddar cheese bites, and lemon merangue pie, delicious.

We just had our condo cleaned. Someone seems to be slacking on the job. I know Mom doesn't mean it when she says if we where neater there would be a lot less mess to clean up and maybe it wouldn't have to be done everyday. Silly Mom. What else would she do?

This is Mom's kitten and my pet Kinsey. Isn't she cute? I love to snuggle with her when she goes to bed at night. For a kitten, she is pretty well behaved. She never pulls my tail or is mean like some kittens can be.  Posted by Hello

Here we are, a pile of rodents waiting for our condo to be cleaned and then we get our dinner, mac and cheese with corn tonight, yum. We love pasta; it is a wonderful invention. See how nicely we sit on Dad's chair while he cleans our home. Rats like to pile together, it's a social thing. People should try it and maybe they wouldn't fight so much. Avoid war, rat pile. Posted by Hello

Tonight I decided to play a game with Mom and kitten Kinsey. They had already started without me, but I didn't mind. I picked my colour and sat down to move my pieces about. I pulled a card when it was my turn. I don't know why Mom pulled the board out from under my tummy. Games can only be played if you absorb the vibes through your tummy fur. They didn't move the strange green guy sitting next to me.  Posted by Hello

My tummy

As you may have guessed, I enjoy epicurean delights, tonight, sliced apples followed by pork chops and stuffing, yum.

And that is me in the picture, Timmy, but nice try. I know we all look a lot alike if you don't know us except for the little one that is. He is white and beige. :)

Good vibrations

Today was a very good day. My Mom was home and so was Kinsey and even Dad. I was able to lay on my back on Mom's lap and be petted while I relaxed and swished my tail. These are the important things, tail swishing, being petted. People should realize this, it is the simple things that are the best. Mom even brushed Shadow and I.

Poor Kitty Cat

Far be it for me to poke fun, but I can't resist. The big black cat whine something aweful at the door until he gets tired of it. I told him Mom would be back, but he doesn't listen to me.

Oh well, we dined on popcorn and large pieces of cheddar cheese tonight. I love cheese. No that is not a stereotype, I really do.

All alone

I'm not happy today because my Mom was gone all day. I don't like it when she goes out for long times. I'm left with no choice but to sit at the door and howl. I used to throw myself against it, but I'm getting to old for that. Now I just howl. I'm sure the neighbors don't mind. So I spent today in my bediby basket. I got up for abit when Mom brought in groceries so I could play in the plastic bag pile, but when she cleaned up and left again, I went back to my basket. Mom says I have to get used to her going back to work. I don't know what work is, but I know I'm not going to like it. Not if my Mom is gone.

The Shadow

Merlin has been hassling me to write on this strange machine. So I will humor him. I am Shadow, and even though I am only 10 pounds I keep Merlin in line (he is a hefty 19 pounds). If I didn't there would be no order around here. I fit perfectly curled up on top of the couch and I love to sniff Mom's hair. Kinsey is my pet and I love her a lot. She picked me out at the Hawaiian Humane Society when I was just a kitten of about 5 pounds. I was very tiny, but so was she. She was three. We have been best friends since. I like to sleep on her furry blanket and look out her window at the cars and people going by. I can't hear, but as long as no one startles me, I'm fine. I like crunchy things like potatoe chips.

Dinner

Yes, dinner tonight was simply superb. Mom fed us rotini with marinara sauce and garlic bread. Hmmm, I'm very satisfied. Now I'm going to snuggle in my fleece.

~Nicci

The baby

They call me Fig, but I don't know why. I can't see very well and I get spooked really easy so I only come out of the cage with Mom and I stay really close to her unless I'm covered up. I'm not very old so maybe I will understand things better when I grow up. I love eating and the food is great. Mom feeds us all kinds of goodies. I like to snuggle with the big rats, but they don't like to play with me. They were scary at first because they are so big, but they are really nice to me and let me snuggle with them.

~Fig

Pip"squeak"

I want to introduce myself, huh, I want to next. It's my turn now. I want to go next. Me, me, me, I'm ready to try out the clicky things with letters. I am Pip and I love to get into anything I can. I also talk all the time. There is no such thing as silence.

The rats rat

I am Salsa, the rats, rat. I am large, sneaky and very lovable. I also have extremely sharp claws that keep me in the alpha rat position. My Mom tried to clip them the other day; however, she only managed to get three of the eighteen clipped before she gave up and let me off with a lecture about not clawing everyone else in the cage. I love to stash chocolate in the couch and snuffle in Mom's hair.

Here I am checking on things outside the window. Posted by Hello

Lazy Mornings

Today I'm spending considerable time in my bediby basket. Mom bought it just for me and it has my favorite catnip blanket inside. No one is on the computer because the rodents don't wake up this early. They consider it an uncivilized hour. Noon is usually the earliest they get up. I like to be up whenever I choose although nothing is like taking a good nap. The mornings are cool right now, and I like that. It makes moving around comfortable. Last night I helped Mom rearrange the vanity top so I can look out the window easier. No I have a long space to stretch out on. I also asked her to move one of her animals that don't move so I can jump up on her dollcase easier. I like to sit on the top and survey my domain. To prove I am King I swipe at anyone who goes by down below. Or I hide and sleep and no one can see me.

I still haven't figured out how to open the closet doors in the room where Mom sleeps yet. But I can open all of the cabinets in the room with all the food. I climb around inside and check things out to make sure everything is okay.
